Start with the exact model

The Meaco Armin 680 manual identifies a maximum-fill marker inside its tank and describes the permitted filling arrangements. That is a model-specific reference, not a rule for every humidifier. Before use, find the equivalent instructions for your own device and identify the tank, opening and marker shown in its diagram.

Do not assume that a similar shape means the same filling route is safe. An opening can be an air outlet, a control area or part of another assembly. Keep electrical components dry and follow the appliance's isolation and handling instructions. If the diagram does not match your device, resolve the model or manual mismatch before filling it.

Write a short preparation note

Use 3 steps to prepare the note: identify the permitted water and filling route, locate the maximum marker, then record the handling instruction that comes before filling. This is an editorial way to organise the manual, not a replacement sequence for operating the appliance. Preserve the manufacturer's exact requirements where they matter.

Read the model and manual reference 2 times before saving the note. Keep it somewhere the person who normally refills the device can find. A household handover is easier when the relevant page is available, rather than a vague instruction to add water through whichever opening looks convenient.

Do not infer a fault from missing mist

Meaco's help centre explains that its Armin evaporative range does not produce visible mist. That distinction matters when somebody expects the plume associated with an ultrasonic appliance. A historical ultrasonic humidifier photograph can illustrate a different operating style, but it is not a benchmark for how every humidifier should look while running.

Use the actual indicators and troubleshooting instructions for your model. Do not add more water simply because you cannot see a plume. Likewise, do not infer a room's humidity or the appliance's effectiveness from the appearance of the outlet. Keep the filling task separate from interpreting environmental measurements.

Keep the quantity and interval separate

A hypothetical 3 L tank does not establish a universal refill interval. The useful runtime depends on the actual operating behaviour and conditions. If you record a refill after 8 hours on one occasion, label it as that observation rather than a promise about the next day or a different setting.

Keep a simple log only if it helps you understand the routine: date, setting and whether the tank needed attention. Follow the manual's requirements for water changes and cleaning regardless of whether a tank looks full. Do not leave a misleading note that treats topping up as a substitute for the specified care procedure.

Separate the three tasks. Editorial distinction; no refill or cleaning interval is prescribed.

Include the next person who will use it

Before handing the task to somebody else, point out the correct manual, filling route and maximum marker. Explain which indicators matter and where to find the troubleshooting section. Avoid improvised mixtures or additives unless the exact model instructions explicitly permit them. A convenient routine should remain the documented routine.

The photographs show an ultrasonic humidifier, a separate humidity display and a dehumidifier. They illustrate why adding moisture, measuring a value and collecting moisture are different tasks. None demonstrates the Armin filling procedure. Keep your own note brief, model-specific and easy to revise if the appliance or instructions change.
